Dock in back bay

Cedar Key Fire Station

Relatively speaking, this is a new fire station for Cedar Key. The old station was located on Main Street, and if you saw it (which you will) you would agree a new one was badly needed.

Again, I liked both the color and the B&W.

Sailboat at anchor

It was a nice, relatively cool day, but lots of sunshine which means too much contrast. Nevertheless, I tried. In the background you can see a power plant, but I can't remember it's name.

Cedar Keyhole

This artsy shop has been in business for over 20 years and possibly much longer than that. It offers a variety of items relating to Cedar Key, including photographs. The Cedar Keyhole is located in the middle of Main Street, which is all of about 3 blocks long.

You may have noticed I added a posterizing effect.

This month's theme is yellow. Click here to view thumbnails of all participants.

Tethered to a golf cart, longing to be free

I was unable to get the name of this fine-looking canine. From the looks of the pink collar, I'd say he was a she. She was tethered to the golf cart while her owner attended to business in the local hardware store.

She wanted to be free
To come romp and play with me
But sadly, as you can see,
Such unfettered fun was not to be.

Gull & Pelican Parking Lot

For some reason, a great quantity of seagulls and pelicans and other birds were making this pier wreckage their home. Some flew off, but others flew in. The pilings were jammed.

Miss Egret has no regrets

This graceful Egret sat atop a truck. Didn't seem to mind having its photo taken.
